OLD STUDENTS ASSOCIATION OF ST.XAVIER’S COLLEGE (OSAX) Established: 1988)

The College has a registered Alumni Association named OSAX (Old Students Association of St Xavier’s) with registration number 201/IV/18 dated 1 st November 2018. Aiming to foster strong bonds between alumnae, staff and students, the association enables alumnae to participate in the activities of the college and contribute towards the welfare of the institution. The annual get together is held on Second Saturday in the month of February every year. The Alumni Association undertakes various enterprises, both academic and non-academic, to render its support to the institution. OSAX instituted endowments and awards for the students as well as alumni achievers who have excelled in their careers. The association honours the rank holders and retiring staffs. Under the Charity project “Snehasparsam”, alumni association give financial support for alumnae with physical ailments. The association conducts an intercollegiate State Level Essay Competition for the undergraduate and postgraduate students all over Kerala in memory of Dr. Sr Redempta, the first principal of the college. An institutionalised fair named “ OSAX UTSAV” is organised every year which encourages women entrepreneurship contributing to women empowerment “NOSTALGIA,” the newsletter is released annually which gives an overview of the association activities.

OBJECTIVES

• To foster friendship and cooperation among the alumni through, organizing their reunion and by maintaining an old students head quarters in the campus.
• To promote the interest of the Old Students in Social, literary and cultural activities by conducting meetings, seminars etc.
• To engage interested alumni intellectually and socially.
• To promote the interest of the Institution and Society.
