If somebody is asking me that throughout my educational period which time is the best, I have only one answer. Its my three year Bachelor degree period in St. Xavier's College, Aluva. Our Chemistry Department was my second home. Our teachers were as much lovable as our parents. Each moment in our college was memorable. Our teachers, Kalyani Madam, Lila Madam, Parvathy Madam, Beena Madam, Mitty Sister, Dinfina Madam were like friends to us. Henry Chettan and Susan Chechi in our lab were like our own family members. Now I am we working in ISRO as Scientific Officer. To achieve this the educational and moral support provided by our Department was really great. I thank to GOD Almighty, my parents along with my Chemistry Department in St. Xavier's College.

St Xavier's College for women, Aluva has given me a space to improve my educational status. From the tinsel world to the confines of classroom, it was a journey both enriching and ennobling. The entire Xaverian family was a second family that accommodated my career and my film world. The principal, teachers, students, administrative staff were so good in their attitude and approach when i struggled to move forward with my career and academics. I am sure that more than providing syllabus based knowledge ,the instruction has refined and redefined my concept of the world around me So that I could enjoy my life to the fullest without much hurdles.

St Xavier's college has always been special to me and it is an immense pleasure to have been a part of it's journey. Being part of the first batch in commerce stream, the 5 years spent in close association with the faculty of the department was remarkable and has had a great impact in both my professional and personal life.

My three years in St. Xavier's college for women, Aluva were great and a memory to cherish for life time. I joined for B.com in 1985 after doing Pre degree in science stream. The choice of St. Xavier's was obvious as it was the only college which supported non commerce students with extra classes. These classes helped us to understand the basic concepts of accounts and finance. As it made all the difference, I gratefully keep remembering it. We had a very young commerce department with young and energetic teachers. They understood us better and helped us in every way. St. Xavier's was ahead of their time always. In the first week into the college, I was perplexed to see moral science as a subject. We were expecting a boring lecture from someone. But it turned out to be the most awaited class with motivational talks, soft skills training and character building exercises in a fun way. When diversity and inclusiveness were not even the buzz words, I am proud to say that our St.Xaviers college was always inclusive. Our college had special facilities for visually impaired students. The college taught us to be kind, compassionate and responsible to the society by being an example. The college helped us realize our potential both in academic and non academic fields. I have to thank the teachers and staff of commerce faculty of our college from the bottom of my heart for my formative years well spent in St. Xaviers college for women, Aluva.

I am extremely grateful and thankful to be part of St Xavier's college for women. Being with the most dedicated teachers helped me a lot especially in the laboratory. The knowledge I gained from them guided me a lot during my lab sessions in the master's program .Even my professor noticed the way I was doing and appreciated me as well . All the credit goes to my teachers from St. Xaviers .This goes not just to the practical aspect but also to the theory as well. All the concepts were clearly taught and I still remember them which was quite helpful during my chemistry workshops in master's degree.

The time when the teenage years end and St. Xavier’s college was my home. That equips me for all the challenges that I will face in life and creates a strong foundation of knowledge. I was groomed, nurtured by my excellent teachers. When I was the college Chairperson and National Service Scheme Volunteer Secretory and organised an Intercollegiate commerce fest, I was diving deep into the ocean of new beginnings and possibilities. The life at college was the time when I decide my career. I became a teacher only because I was raised by great teachers who were the guiding light and caring hands.

At the very outset I would like to express my heartiest thanks to the Xaverian family. I extend my warm regards to my Microbiology department. I started my colleague life at St. Xavier's College in 1998. I studied here for 7 years, starting from Pre degree to Post graduation. That was an awesome experience. I started my career as a lecturer from the very same college. Every turning point in my personal life, spiritual life and career happened from this campus. After my post graduation I did BEd and PhD in Microbiology. I have few publications in International journals related to Microbiology. Being a writer I have published 340 short stories online. I have published one book on short stories too. As part of my job I have written more than 150 online Biology articles. Being a motivational speaker and career counselor I have taken more than 150 seminars in various colleges across Karnataka. I still believe, I was able to do all these because of the thorough foundation I developed during my college days. Finding the right path to success at the right time is really very important. The friendly environment, the systematic approach towards imparting education at St. Xavier's College made me a competent individual.

St Xavier's College is my homeland that nurtured, trained and carved out the true researcher in me .The well established library, inspiring faculty, laboratory facility and collaborative exposure we gain with other research laboratories incites a true scientific vigour in every receptive student. The College kindles the best out of students and it is indeed fortunate to be a part of St Xavier's College.
