DEPARTMENT OF MALAYALAM & SANSKRIT

The department of Malayalam was initiated in 1964 with a view to comprehend and preserve literature and culture and to transmit them to the coming generation. It was elevated as a PG department in 2013. The department of Malayalam aims at the upliftment of the community which stands backward in the cultural and economic scenario of the society.

SCOPE AND FEATURES

The department plays a pivotal role in equipping the students with proficiency in language and in the development of their creativity. Department follows a teaching- learning system which be suits every students in their levels of learning capacity. While ample platforms are proffered to the Advanced learners for lectures and paper presentations, the Slow learners are provided with Remedial classes and Peer teaching to help them proceed in their own respective pace. The educational system of the department make use of 50% of ICT tool to make the teaching-learning process more interesting and fruitful.The research oriented faculty and the department library which encompasses literary works of different genres are the exquisite feats of the department. It is a matter of pride that the students who emerge out from the department serve in the different realms of the society.
