Prof.Dr. Milon Franz is the Principal of St Xavier’s College for Women, Aluva, affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University. She is a Professor and Research Guide in English. She holds the following academic degrees: M.A, M.Phil, Ph.D, B.Ed, P.G. Diploma in Journalism and Communication and has qualified UGC –NET for Lectureship. An acknowledged writer, researcher, poet and speaker, Dr. Milon has published a good number of poems and articles in English and Malayalam periodicals and online journals. She has authored four books: Nakshatrangal Undavunnathu, The Legends of Khasak: A Postcolonial Reading, Kazhchavattom and MilonFranzinte Puthiya Kavithakal. She is a reviewer of many Research Journalsand has published nearly 30 research articles in national and international academic journals. She has chaired several academic sessions, has been invited speaker/resource person and has presented papers in national and international conferences. She has organized various conferences and seminars. She has been a member in the Board of Studies of Universities and Autonomous colleges. She is in the panel of Subject Experts in many Universities and served as the Chairman of P.G. and UG. Boards of Examinations of M.G. University.
She has given contribution to curriculum design and prepared e- content for e PG Pathshala. She has served as Chairman and member of various Boards of Question Paper setters. She is a member in various academic, cultural and professional organizations. She is the former Co Ordinator of IQAC and Head of the Department of English, St. Xavier’s College for Women, Aluva.
