Assistant Professor


Dr. Nisha P is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany, where she has been since 2012. From 2017 to 2020 she served as the Head of the department. She has been a member of Board of Studies (Under Graduate course in Botany) of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam since 2017. She is a research guide in Botany under Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. Her areas of research include Plant Taxonomy, Molecular phylogeny and Phytochemistry.

(Title: An overview on the genus Selaginella (Selaginellaceae) in North-East India). Jointly organised by Department of Botany, Faculty of Science, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, Gujarat, Indian Fern Society, Chandigarh & Indian Science Congress Association (Baroda Chapter).
